A New Start

I think I'll blog again...

I still have a lot of changes ahead in life--my husband will be finishing up with the Army in a little over a year and we have been talking about plans for the future.  LONG term plans! 

I'm so excited about it because so far we have not been able to make any.  We're discussing long term careers and buying a house--which means a permanent place to live!  (That may sound strange to anyone that hasn't had to live a military life style.  We have been lucky enough to have been stationed only in one location, but it was never a guarantee for how long.  Additionally, Michael deployed in the middle of it.  So I have moved around more than I would have liked in the past few years.)

Anyway, back to the long term plans...I've been offered a wonderful opportunity career-wise once we move back to Louisiana.  So the wheels have been turning!  It's not what I thought I would be doing, but I think it's a step in the right direction.  As you may or may not know, I graduated with a degree in Interior Design.  I have not yet had the opportunity to pursue that dream yet, but I'm hopeful for the outcome of the other path.

Also, I'm now a stay at home mom to the sweetest one year old around.  So I'm trying to figure out what to do with my time while still being productive.  I'm hoping to keep a few children in my home, so that I don't feel like a total financial waste... :)  A routine is what I really need...but I'm not much on routines. 

What I do know is that I always, ALWAYS think about architecture, interiors, art, etc---ways to make them better, things to change, what is really good about a building or space or art...so I thought I should document my thoughts on interiors, art, and related topics. Hope you enjoy my finds!
